Privacy policy
Last updated November 7, 2026
The short version: your shop's records belong to your shop. We use them only to run WrenchLink, and we never sell them.
01Who we are
WrenchLink is shop software for independent auto repair shops. In this policy, "we" means WrenchLink, "shop" means a repair business that uses WrenchLink, and "customer" means a vehicle owner a shop serves.
02What we collect
- Account details for shop owners and team members, such as name, email and sign-in information.
- Shop records the shop enters: customers, phone numbers and emails, vehicles, VINs, mileage, inspections, photos, videos, estimates, repair orders, signatures, invoices and team chat messages.
- Approval and payment activity when a customer opens a link from the shop.
- Basic technical data such as browser type and error logs, used to keep the service working.
03How we use it
- To run the service: check vehicles in, store inspections, send approvals, create documents.
- To send texts and emails the shop asks us to send on its behalf.
- To process subscriptions and customer payments.
- To give support, fix problems and improve WrenchLink.
04Who owns shop data
Each shop owns the records it puts into WrenchLink. We process customer information on the shop's behalf and only as needed to provide the service. We do not sell personal information and we do not use shop or customer data for advertising.
05Services we work with
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Hosting, database and sign-in providers that run the app.
- Payment processors for subscriptions and customer pay links. We never store full card numbers.
- The shop's own texting account (such as Twilio) and our email provider, to deliver messages.
- The public NHTSA database to decode VINs and look up recalls.
- AI providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) when a shop turns on AI features, which receive only the job details needed to answer.
- QuickBooks, Xero or Wave, only when the shop connects or exports to them.
06Text messages
Shops send texts to their own customers about their vehicles, such as inspection results, estimates and pay links. Customers can reply STOP to stop texts from a shop at any time. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share mobile numbers with third parties for marketing.
07Keeping data safe
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with established cloud providers. Access is limited to signed-in members of each shop, and each shop's records are kept separate. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell affected shops about any breach as required by law.
08How long we keep it
We keep shop records while the shop's account is open, so its history stays available. When a shop closes its account, it can ask us to delete its records, and we will do so within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep them.
09Your choices
Shops can view, change, export and delete their records in the app or by contacting us. Customers of a shop should contact that shop first about their records; we will help the shop respond. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights to access, correct or delete your information.
10Children
WrenchLink is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 16.
11Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell shops about important changes. Questions? Email calabreseconsultants@gmail.com.
